Kernel 2.4.22 w/ Mandrake 9.1

I have just recompiled my Kernel with the latest and greatest as I was having a few problems with the 2.4.21-13mdk kernel. However this new kernel does not support supermount - I need supermount as my drives are not automatically detected and mounted at startup, and if i manually mount them they are a pain to get to eject etc. Can I implement supermount into this version of the kernel? Or is there a way to get the drives to work properly anyway?

Also my ethernet card (Abit NF7-S mainboard on board network card) does not work anymore - any ideas where I can find a driver for that?

Finally, I can't get my AGP card to work with 3D Acceleration, the drivers screw the system up every time. I have a Radeon 9700Pro. The drivers on the ATI site are too old to work with Xfree86 4.3 so any ideas how I can get this to work well?

Cheers guys

After you download and install the new kernel, you cd /usr/src/linux and do make mrproper, then you should copy the Mandrake config file like this:
cp /boot/config ./.config
make oldconfig

Now your new kernel should be the same as the stock Mandrake 9.1 kernel. Of course to get supermount to work you need to patch the kernel first.
