Hello. I just successfully got translucency working in KDE. After reading through the KDE docs and looking thoroughly through the options available in kcontrol, I only have a few questions.

1) Can you make the translucency only translucenct to the desktop? Meaning that even with multiple windows underneath, the active window(s) will only show translucency against my desktop background?

2) Is it possible to tell individual programs not to be translucenct? In my case, my web browser, Opera and the Gimp.

Thank you all for your time. I just love Ubuntu and KDE so very very much, they have made my life so much better when it comes to computers.

2) right click on the titlebar, and you will see 'opacity' which will give you a little slider to adjust.
