Since I installed Suse 9.2 & KDE 3.3 I get a sporadic problem with the the mouse & arrow keys and scroll buttons.

I will get a situation where the KDE menu and windows no longer react to the mouse, the highlighting shoots up & down the menu & only the top item will be selected if the mouse is clicked. The scroll up/down will allow me to select another option, but that is the best I can do. When this happens the scrolling stops working on windows, I can move up and down the file manage using page up/down and individual items with the scroll keys, but that is all. I've found neither rhyme nor reason to why it happens.

Can anybody suggest a reason / solution.

I've also had strange mouse problems in KDE. But of late I have not had any.

What kind of mouse are you using: optical mouse or the regular one?
