KDE looking like OS X?
Hi!
Yesterday me and one of my friends had a discussion over Linux and Mac (me being the linux-guy and he being the mac-guy). It ended up with that I bet I could configure my KDE to look almost exactly like Mac OSX. Hehe, well, now I need some help... The first thing I could think of was Baghira and KXDocker.... But that was pretty much it... Can anyone give me some advice on what I must tweak/configure/install to make the similarity as exact as possible? Any advice appreciated ;) Thanks |
You could try to find themes and wallpapers at http://www.kde-look.org/. I don't use KDE myself, but with Gnome, I came as close as this:

Hi !! im kind of new here, and got a problem with some kde themes. I already install them but the minimize, maximize, close buttons and scroll bars didn't change at all. These are the names of the themes Tuxintosh and Mac Baghira, downloaded from kdelook.org . Wonder if someone knows why this is happening. Hope you can help guys !!

Put the menu bar on the top of the screen (Desktop->Behavior->Menu Bar at top of screen)

Look at Mac clone screenshots on KDE-look. I've compiled a few of their settings:
Baghira style and deco Safari=Firefox with Safire skin + many userChrome edits for the fonts and gradient toolbar and tabs. Mail=Thunderbird with Tiger Mail2 skin + userChrome edits iChat=Modified Kopete Finder=Modified Konqueror XMMS theme=xTunes Icons=OS-L Or show him a Mac and don't tell him. |
Hi,

use destop settings wizards to make your kde behave like mac os then download a theme thats similar to mac os and you have it all. doesn't kde-look.org has mac style themes?
