KDE desktop file association problem

Hi

I associated HTML files with firefox on Mandrake 10.0 on KDE. Now all deskop shortcuts to directories open in firefox. Also the mount in smb4k also open in firefox. When I associate .desktop filetype with Konqueror, and error messege pops up saying that konqueror cannot open the filetype. How can I revert this so that the desktop shortcuts and the mounts in smb4k open in Konqueror again?

If I remove or rename .kde directory in my home cause the system initialize the KDE settings for my user account? Is this the only place my settings are stored?

Open up the kde configuration ( Configure My Desktop in the KMenu ) you can make you changes there. I think the konqueror get you there also.
