KDE Daemon - Option to play a DVD (movie) with Xine

When I insert a movie DVD, this dialog box appears. I then click on the option to play the DVD in xine (created by myself) and this error pops up.

The Xine option is setup like this. Now when I run xine dvd:// on the command line, the movie pops up in a xine window. How can I have that happen when I click the option?

I even tried "xine --auto-play --auto-scan dvd" from Stanton Finley, and it gave the same error.

FC5 and the latest KDE.

Thanks that has come close to fixing the problem. I know get this error when I use xine %u. Anything I add infront of %u gets appended in front of system:/media/hdb. %s returns the same error as in the first post.

Where can I find other options like that to test?

actually i improvised that %u thing from firefox. i'm not quite sure how to help you further. i'll think about it and post if anything comes to mind.

le: is /media/hdb a symlink? do ls -l /media/hdb and if it has a -> in there it's a symlink.

le2: try using xine %u (or %s) without dvd://

The solution for KDE is: xine dvd:/ #%u
