KDE 3 + xfree 4.2 = FLICKER!

Sup guys,

I have an ATI xpert@play running an ADI 5P, the book lists the rates as being:

30-69 Horiz
50-120 Vert

I think I've tried messing with refresh for ages, hard on the brain when you get flickered output. The KDE image won't stabilize, it flickers in an out, my monitor clicks, ahh what a nightmare

Anyone else gone through this with the same hardware?

I need help.

Ai I upgraded to 4.2.1 and it solved the problem. Funny that 4.1.0 was ok, 4.2 was not and that 4.2.1 is hehe. Oh well, now I just need to figure out why this same damned page loads up in Konqueror after the desktop is initialized. I don't even remember browsing to that page in the first place.
