KDE 3 Taskbar colors

I just upgraded to RedHat 8.0 and I really do like its features, but there is one nagging thing that drives me crazy. Can I change the text color on the list of active programs (on the taskbar)? For the "top" window, the text is white on gray, which is very hard to read. I can't seem to find anything in the KDE Control Panel to adjust those specific colors.

Any ideas?

Still nothing

I did try that. But it seems to be able to change everything's colors except for the window titles in the taskbar. Any ideas?

There is a drop down called "widget color". You are interested in "active title","active title text", "inactive title" etc...

Just experiment a bit.

EDIT: Sorry, I may be misunderstanding you...when you say taskbar do you mean the panel at the bottom of the screen?

What do you mean by top window?

Yes. I mean the panel at the very bottom of the screen. In particular, I am referring to the list of open windows for that desktop. There is one entry per window (or window group).

By "top" window, I mean the current active window. By changing the widget colors (you mentioned in the previous post), only changes the window title colors on the window themseleves, but not in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.

I think the one you're looking for is "button text", from the drop-down in colors. If that one doesn't work for you then I don't know...

ok, for sure: window text will change the active window and button text will change the inactive ones on the taskbar.
