jsp error on linux only

Hi I am getting this error in jsp(under project) installed on linux
Error Message: /common/menu.jsp(64,20) JSPG0069E: Unmatched end tag found while parsing jsp. Expecting html:form found html:select at [64,20]

but issue is that same file is giving no error on windows

Would help to see the code ... probably some quoting/escaping issue with
a path that's valid on winDOHs but not on a real system?
