Its okay, i can just use GNOME for now. But'a i got lost at the first step lol

ok i installed a bunch of RPMS with the package manager but how do i actually start using the new X-window manager?

How I updated KDE:

Using konqeror, i went to ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/2.2.2/RedHat/7.2/ and dragged the i386 folder to my desktop.

After all the rpms downloaded, cd'd into the directory (not in X) as root and typed
rpm -Uvh --replacefiles --replacepkgs --nodeps

I then loaded X back up (startx) and KDE was fully up-to-date.

Let me know if this helps

Ok, but i think i have to reinstall RedHat becuase i broke it..thanks for the tip though

it says no packages given for install!

*EDIT* i tried *.rpm and it works.

Thanks mate, LimeWire is working!!! Thanks again for the tip, I feel kind of bad not helping you with java, I use java on a regular basics.
