Unhappy Java Pluing error !

I have installed java j2sdk-1_4_2-nb-3_5_1-bin-linux.bin from the java website. And linked the plugin in ns610-gcc32 to ~/.mozilla/plugin. I am using FedoraCore1 with kernel
2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.

But still I am not bieng able to get the plugin working. The status bar shows that it is opening the applet but without awail. If i reload the page, netscape hangs and i get the following error stored in home directory.

java.lang.InternalError: Current locale is not supported
