Is this any good?
 
Is this book any good to learn from? I really need something to guide me along and this looks good. Has anyone read it or use it as a ref?

Most of the O'Reilly books are quite good, you also might want to have a look at the online resources at the linux documentation project.

I think I'll pick that book up this week. Even if I don't read much or it, it will still be a good ref.
