Is there an Opensource Disk Editor that does ext3-4 and has a GUI?

I want to be able to copy the MBR and learn about it. Am I stuck with the dd command?

Thanks in advance!

I only have access to (Disk Utility) at the moment but...

I think Disk Utility and Gparted are the same mostly. I want to be able to manually edit the MBR or the like. I think a GUI version is better to learn from if one is available. Then the CLI is fine. Here is a link to a Windows version.http://wxhexeditor.sourceforge.net/home.php

http://wxhexeditor.sourceforge.net/ came up some where in a google search

In case a UI is good enough, I found this old post from 2003 with a reply from Tinkster

PS
Google for disk editor linux got me the above; you either did not search or you did not like the applications in which case you should have mentioned that

Well, most of live CDs/USBs/DVDs have this kind of function.
Try GParted Live, that's the best!
