iptables causing system to hang @ boot

I'm a newbie that finally got iptables to work, but now my machines hang during boot when Fedora Core starts the firewall. Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to mount my hard drive after booting into GNOPPIX. My idea is to mount my hard drive and restore iptables to defaults. I need help mounting my hard drive. So far I tried:

# mount -t ntfs /dev/sda /mnt/hdd

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda2,
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

# mount -t autofs /dev/sda /mnt/hdd

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda2,
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

Any ideas?

I solved my problem by using the rescue option on the Fedora Core install disc. From the terminal I was able to copy /etc/sysconfig/iptables-default to /etc/sysconfig/iptables. I was able to boot and fix my firewall.
