ipchains --> iptables

I got pmfirewall to try to get MASQ running but it uses ipchains (which I can't seem to be able to use [ipchains: Protocol not available]) and I was wondering if I figure out the corrosponding commands, can I replace calls to ipchains with iptables? Isn't iptables supposed to replace chains? Anyways, if I cannot subsitute iptables for chains can somebody show me where to download it? Thanks in advance.

you have to load ipchains module
but rather than that take some of your time and go to
www.linuxguruz.org/iptables and read
If you use kernel 2.4 it's better to use iptables
(I think you'll will be quicker typing down 3 masq statements than try to "debug" pmfirewall)

good luck
