Question Iomega External CDRW Drive... Need HELP!

I just purchased an Iomega external 16x10x40 drive (usb) it works with regular usb at 4x4x6 and usb 2.0 at 16x10x40. I am just trying to get it to work at 4x4x6 right now. My system (Suse 7.3 automaticlly detected the drive and loaded it as a SCSI device with works ok with kreatecd however when I go to write the disk I get an unrecognized error while reading the capacity.

Any help would be appreicated!!
