is there a pluggin for gaim by which i can see invisible users on yahoo? a plugin for yahoo messenger (linux) wld also be good. any other alternatives to gaim and yahoo where i can have this feature? tried scanning thru the previous few forums....did not find anything fruitful though...found something called gyach messenger...but could not find the program on net.
Let's see, the first hit on Google when searching for Gyach is http://www4.infi.net/~cpinkham/gyach/ , Gyach's home page ... pretty hard to figure, ha? Anyways, I briefly checked the feature list and it doesn't seem to include the feature you need.

Let's play nice and not get personal please. And could you try to spell out your words, makes it easier to read instead of reading.. u, frm, abt and so on.. We have a spell checker if that helps?
So what if there are members on yahoo that are invisible, they made themselves invisible for a reason, and its nought do with you, if they want to talk to you they will make themselves known.

there is too much of this 'I'm allright, jack' attitude about, have a bit of respect for your fellow human beings, whilst I may not care about a particular individual or their business, I do have respect them and that includes their privacy and I would hope they have the same feelings towards me.
yes, rextor, i also have this question - although it is not ONLY for people who have gone under invisible on me, but for some reason (maybe, bug in gaim?) most of my list from yahoo say they are online, and i can even view screenshots from them saying they are online, and on my buddy list, it doesnt show them online, nor does it show them online in a conversation window....
SOOOOOO
this has nothing to do with privacy, but would someone please just answer the question?
id appreciate it veru much, i only wish to see who is and who is not online....
also - in a means of defending rextor, as i also have come up with that situation before - yahoo is retarded, being is has an "invisible" feature that most people do use....
well, if they dont want me seeing them online, why dont they block me? if they are going to have me on their buddy list, i deserve to know at least when they are and are not online, and if they dont like that, they can block me.....am i correct? hell yes, i am...:-)
just someone please answer? (sorry for getting a bit sarcastic)
