Question invalid filesystem type - KDE - cdrom

When I pop in a cd-rom or dvd-rom with files burned to them (say mp3's) KDE gives a pop-up that says "invalid filesystem type".

However when I pop in an iso burned cd KDE sees the disk and opens it up with no errors.

If I change to su and give this mount command I can then open and get the files from the KDE interface just fine:

mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

What should I do to get KDE to see these files under my normal user & GUI?

Here is the fstab:

/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom auto noauto,ro,exec,users 0 0

(My normal account is under the cdrom group)

Hmm - is it a UDF (packet-written) disk? Are you sure you have UDF support compiled into your kernel? IMO all optical file systems should be enabled in all kernels, but maybe you have a kernel which does not have this compiled in / active...??

I had this type of problem with Fedora Core 6's stock kernel which, for some reason, had no CIFS (samba) file system support compiled in, which meant I could not access / mount Windows shares with Samba. I also got an invalid filesystem error, I think. I then recompiled my kernel and put CIFS support in it - maybe you can do something similar, only add UDF support and all the other filing systems you can find mentioned?

Yeap! Looks like that was it! I was not even thinking in that direction! Thanks for the help!
