Internet Address
Hey, I just installed Linux 9.0, and when I start GNOME, I get an error message that reads as follows:
"Could not look up Internet address for dhcppc1. This will prevent GNOME from operating correctly. It may be possible to correct this problem by adding dhcppc1 to the file /etc/hosts"
Any ideas? For some reason my internet isnt working. Could this be the reason? I have windows installed also, and the internet works fine on it.
Thanks!
mikell
ps. Also, linux is running really slow. takes 6 minutes to boot (windows XP take about 15 seconds) and it takes about 1 minute to open anything under GNOME.
