intel i810 i815 driver no longer working in 2.6.*

I recently moved up from kernel 2.4.2* I have a working xrf86 in the previous kernel, but in the 2.6 kernel I'm having framebuffer problems. After starting X the screen goes to taking up just the middle part of the screen. Along with my screen problems, my wireless card is no longer recognized. I see the pcmcia drivers when I go to my previous kernels drivers folder. Could I just copy those over to 2.6? The wireless card is a sony pcaw 150. I believe it uses the ornico drivers, so the driver is pretty standard. I'm running slackware 9.1.

Simply put, no. You'll have to compile the driver for the kernel you want to use it with. Did you enable the driver in your kernel config?

As for the X problem, check the driver settings in your 2.4 and 2.6 kernel configs. What's changed, if anything?

I definately compiled the driver into the kernel for both the pcmcia and video.
