Do you have xp on C:\ ?

I don't think lilo will detect it. Personally i dual boot between xp, 2000 and mandrake.

If you have partition magic that'll be great. Make several partitions or only one for linux, then during the linux installation process choose the reserved partiion and install it there. Install lilo as well and every time you start up your comp lilo will come up and lets you choose to boot between windows and linux.

You should install a boot loader http://home.ubalt.edu/abento/linux/r...ualbootNT.html
but there is can be a hidden a problem - I believe RH7 was shipped with an older version of lilo that required the boot loader to reside on the first 1024 cileders (approximatelly first 8 Mb), so I'd opt for an upgrade to atleast RH 7.2

I have a dual boot between RH 7.2 and XP and use GRUB as my boot loader. In the RH 7.2 setup, it automatically configured GRUB to dual boot (detected WinXP and everything).
