Yeah, i did the 1.3.1...unless i didn't install it correctly, how did you install it mate? |
I downloaded the .tar.gz package. You might want to try the netscape java plugin.
|
Ok, i can't find where to download the Java plug-in for netscape. I tried the tar.gz but maybe i did something wrong can you guide me ?
|
I install the netscape java plugin by starting netscape as root and surfing to a trusted page that needs java then clicking on the download link that pops up, you need to be root to install it but its not a good idea to surf as root, I only do it to install the NS java plugin.

Hey, you might wanna read my other post about making users and you'll see why i only use _root account.

Grrrr!!! the Virtual Machine works in netscape but not when i try to install LimeWireLinux!!
|
Can i delete Mozilla? since it installed the plugins for Netscape but not Mozilla
|
The same problem is here. This is the output it gave me when I tried to install LimeWire:
Preparing to install... Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive... Configuring the installer for this system's environment... Launching installer... Error: Unrecognized JVM specific option `-Xmx50331648'. Error: Unrecognized JVM specific option `-Xms16777216'. This Java Application has encountered an unexpected error and will now exit. Only LimeWire gives me creaps about it. And Aussie no offense by I got knock down by ppl here for running netscape as root |
And guys about the java problem we should start a new thread I guess.
Happy New Year!!! |

oh btw i've tried this and it didnt work:
PATH="$PATH:/usr/java/bin"; file:/root/ |
