Angry installing NT over Redhat 7.0

Im trying to do a clean install of NT over Redhat 7.0. I have to admit that I am a Linux dummmie, my boss sorta threw it in my lap. I tried booting from the NT install disk but after the system files were copied the install stalled and stated that

HAL: No IO APIC found
HAL: This HAL.DLL requires the an MPS version 1.1 system
Replace HAL.DLL with the correct hal for this system
The systems is halting

i've done a good amount of looking but have had no luck.

any help would be appreciated

Couple of things. Wrong forum (this is the install Red Hat over NT forum) and definitely not enough information.

First the right forum is www.windowsbbs.com. It is almost as friendly as us and they are very good at these type of questions (one of the moderators runs XP and Red Hat 8.0 on his machine).

But, give them some details. What version of NT? 4.0, Win2K or XP? Is this a server install? What type of computer? How much memory? The more info you give them, the better Mike will be able to answer your question.

Good luck
