Installing mandrake on redhat..

first of all, I am a biiiiig

I got this linux server from a guy i know and it has Red Hat 7.1 alpha deluxe version on it. Im trying to install mandrake on it as Im more familiar with it.

Yes i know, booting with the first CD will be easy to install or even booting it up with a windows 98 boot disk.
but the problem is this server wont boot up disks or CDs. The BIOS doesnt even come up. so Im trying to install the madrake from linux itself on the kernel window.

the manual says im supposed to type 'dd if=images/cdrom.img of=/dev/fd0' well i did that but that dont work either. its a real pain in the ass

does anyone know how to make this work? anything, even how to get the damn BIOS to come up and boot with the disc.

PLEASE HELP - !!

is this a DEc alpha server

err.. im not really sure.
it had an 'atek' motherboard on it.
if i did have that alpha server, what could i do?
