Hi There.
I need help please. I need to install into linux mandriva fcpct-suse93-3.11.07.tar.
I know is says suse but the program will work with most linux programs.
If I cannot install this program I cannot get online.
I need help with getting the program on a cd to the linux program and getting it to work.
If I cannot get help then linux is not an option for me to work with.

Find a machine that has a CD burner, download the file to that machine, then burn it.

Put the CD into your Linux machine, and you should be able to read it.

You'll need to get the file to your user's home directory in Linux and unpack it, after unpacking there should be some files you can read for directions. Like a README, or INSTALL.
To unpack it use command: tar xvf fcpct-suse93-3.11.07.tar from within the directory containing the file.
If the package has a .gz at the end of it's name, add it to the name of the file in the command, it has to match.

Hi People.
I do thankyou for your help and I am certain it will help.
I am a 63 young (in mind) person and only started with computers 4 years ago.
Soon found I will only use a computer tha I put together myself as only way to get what one needs.
I must put linux on second second computer as have found that with
SP2 for windows, Windows will always find lilo or grub and then the windows boot loader is gone.
With SP3 have found that if one installs a linux program.
Windows first comes black/white page, gives options safe mode, normal start etc, but what ever you select must restart and one gets cannot find ntldr.
This is another problem for the excperts to solve.
I do not need help on this problem just letting people know what I have found.
