installing help...


I am trying to install bittorrent and i've read the INSTALL doc and it talks about using python to compile and install(?!?).. the scripts are in .py format and i really have no idea about installing it..and the INSTALL doc is really of no help since all it tells you is go download python....that's it... help??

No idea what bittorent is, but if it requires
python you should be installing it :)

well i think i have python since i can run 'python' then i get these weird command option but yeah..should i just try 'phython filename' ?

Do:

man python

for all the python options.

okay so python is the command for compiling python source..i did read the man pages but wasn't sure if this was correct command to use to install..well when i get home, i will check it out...

haven't heard of bittorrent?? MY GOD.. it's one of the best ways to share files online now people at work is bragging about how they were able to download gazillions of movies and tv shows using bittorrent hehehe

just a question...does .py files have to be compiled and made?? cuz the installation document makes no mention of compiling anything

Hmm .. most of the files I'm interested in
I'll get of sourceforge.net or gnu.org ...

However, I find having to download
11MB of source just to run a simple
file-sharing client more than rediculous :}
