Hi Carbonfiber

Thx

Does one have to compile a kernel after installing...?

Can It be installed offline ? ( I've heard this is a very minimalist distro, without networking support at install time, one will not have a working system ... is this true...? )

I have managed to install Arch in a PC and configured it to have X, networking support, a Desktop Environment...

...but I have heard ppl say that it is way more difficult w/ crux...

It's been a while since I've played with crux, but according to there installation instructions still have to compile kernel during installation.
The initial install does not install Xorg, only terminal console. Crux has a package manager and ports, but IMHO wasn't very easy to use. Installing Crux wasn't to bad, It was learning the package manager that I had trouble with.
