Installing Audio Codec
 
Does anyone know how to install audio codec, im lookin for a spefic one it is "Microsoft GSM 6.10" i have the driver file (msgsm32.acm) but i do not know if i can install it with just that. Maybe i could get this in a codec pack?? i need it for a wine app, ventrilo(voice comms) i tried getting a windows based codec pack and intalling that with wine. vent reads it but when it trys to use it, it says it is not there

i am runnin red hat 9

umm that helped a bit..

can windows and linux codec be the same file?? ie msgsm32.acm

i think i worked it out, i went onto a rpm searcher and searched for gsm, i chose the redaht 9 one and installed it. but vent still does not reckonise it. should the codec be installed on the fake windows or on the linux side of it?
