Installing another linux distro on an android tablet?

I've just got my hands on a really cheep android tablet, and I'm wondering if anyone know of any guides on how to install other linux distos on it?

I thought it could be fun to try.

I'm thinking about for example jolicloud, but any distro will do.

I've already found some guides of how to install Ubuntu on tablet's but there would be interesting to find some more

And have any of you tried to do this before?
What were your results?

I assume you don't care if this device will ever work again. China seems to produce 5000 new things each day. For a distro to work, you would have to have some clear web or written how to that exactly applies to your device and every part in it. The main issue with all these hacks is that you find some major things like touchscreen won't work or usb/flash disk can't open. When they make this stuff they have help from the vendors of the chips to write drivers.

I have no idea how the guys over at cyanogenmod seem to create images for so many devices and processors but they have one of the best ways to try stuff.
