Installation Question involving /home partition

If I have a home directory on a seperate partition, should any installation touch it?

You can share you partition between other OSs that support that filesystem but make sure you don't format it during the install.

It shouldn't, no. But I'd still read up on the documentation for the installation program/process carefully for starting.

Five minutes and I get a reply. Great. I just don't want mandrake 9.2 killing my /home directory.
