At least 64 MB are required for the installation with YaST2 in graphical mode; 128 MB recommended
http://www.suse.de/en/private/produc...uirements.html

Due to your low RAM the install is recommending you create a swap partition before the installation starts. Since I am not familar with the Suse install, I am not sure of the exact steps.
Somehow you need to get to a Linux fdisk utility in a console.
I don't know what you are planning to install, but you're going to need a swap file 2-4 times your RAM to even get it to work, and I suspect it will be awfully slow.
Suse is a very nice distribution, but not really intended to be used (with default lnstall) on older hardware. Vector Linux is more suited for that sort of hardware.
Maybe that helps some?

start the suse cdrom in rescue mode and
get to a prompt, if it does not boot to a prompt,
hit control-alt-f2
if you don't get a prompt there
hit control-alt-f3
try the different function keys until you get a prompt.
type fdisk /dev/hda
at the prompt
type p
for print
that will list the partitions on that drive.
you can hit d
and the number for the partition you wish to delete if any
hit c to create a partition
it will ask you which number.
use number 1 2 3 or 4 depending on the first number free
it will show you the first free cylinder. use that.
next go +200M
then his p
to see if you made what you wanted.
hit t
for change type,
use the number of the partition you just created.
it will ask what type,
choose 82
then hit w
for write and quit.
if you get an error about syncing then
reboot before the next step.
do a
mkswap /dev/hd? replace the question mark with
the number of the swap drive you just created 1 2 3 or 4

then swapon /dev/hd?
