Install GRUB2 from PartedMagic CD?

Anyone know if I can install GRUB2 from PartedMagic CD?

Apart from PartedMagic, what other small-size CD images will let me install GRUB2?
I will be installing to USB disk, so I will need USB support.

I would look into Knoppix and SystemRescue. If you have any live CD/DVD you could boot it and see if the grub2 commands are installed by trying them in a bash terminal.

Any live distro that uses grub2 to boot can be used to install grub2. Here is a link to one of the best tutorials I have run into

Pay attention to section 12

boot, grub, grub 2, iso
