Infinite login loop in SUSE 9.1 Personal

Good morning,

I recently installed SUSE 9.1 Personal (about 5 days ago). Last night, I left my regular user logged in. This morning, I found the system locked up (looked like a plain black text-mode screen, no text, just a small cursor). After rebooting, I found I could no longer log in as this user using the regular login screen that appears once the system boots. I'd log in, wait a second or so, then get the login screen again. I can log in as root, or as other users. When I check one of the logs (/var/log/messages) I see messages like this:

May 22 08:03:55 linux kernel: BIOS EDD facility v0.13 2004-Mar-09, 1 devices found
May 22 08:03:57 linux kdm_config[5126]: Unrecognized key 'HideMenu' in section [X-*-Core] at /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc:241

May 22 08:04:04 linux kernel: [drm:i810_unlock] *ERROR* Process 5654 using kernel context 0

These messages only appear for this one particular user. They don't appear for other logins.

Could someone please show me what I might need to do to fix this?

Thanks.
