Importing E-mails from Windows to Linux

Hello,

I am using SuSE 7 and want to import all my e-mails from Opera (windows) to Linux Mozilla or Opera, I am trying to use different browsers to see which one has good points and which one has bad points.

So can you tell me how to imoprt for both please.

Kind regards

Don't know if this is possible using those browsers, but it is possible using Netscape 4.x versions in both windows and linux.

You simply create a soft link in your messages directory, so the INBOX file in Linux would point to your INBOX file in the corresponding Windows directory.

Of course you need to chmod the INBOX file in the windows partition. Newer versions of both browsers won't let you as they set up a session ID which changes each time to interface with you mailboxes.

Hi
I remember using kmail and its import option, it produced some
errors, but the mail box was converted. The convert prog
itself is named kmailcvt (but i used it from within kmail.)
maybe update it for stability/more options

regards
