iceweasel failed to initialize shared library

Everytime I go to load something that requires a plugin in epiphany or iceweasel, it outputs the following to the terminal.

LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/java/jre1.6.0_02/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so [/usr/java/jre1.6.0_02/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32]
LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /usr/lib/totem/libtotem-complex-plugin.so [/usr/lib/totem/libtotem-complex-plugin.so: undefined symbol: _ZN13nsTArray_base9sEmptyHdrE]
LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library /bin/rplayer/mozilla/nphelix.so [/bin/rplayer/mozilla/nphelix.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32]

I've tried reinstalling mozplugger, which didn't work. If I try to load a PDF file, it brings up evince, but it just sits there and the PDF file never loads.

Any idea what might be causing this unusual behavior? This just started... possibly after mixing some Sid packages in with Lenny. Not sure if that could cause these sorts of problems though...

Thanks

Those are the sort of messages you'd get if you were using a 64 bit browser. Are you?

Yes, but all the plugins have worked in the past and I found a howto somewhere that described how to get Flash player to work by using ndiswrapper, so that worked fine, too. I was able to get the PDF file to display by moving all the .so and .xpt files in /usr/lib/mozilla to a separate directory and reinstalling mozplugger, so I would think all the mozplugger plugins should work now.

Possibly something got broken in the ndiswrapper department when you did that upgrade. It's one of the dangers that comes with upgrading from one release to the next.
