Ok. Are you having problems? Generally, it's not a good idea to just repeat your thread title in the body of your post. Give us more info if you need help.

This shouldn't be too hard though. Just boot from the first CD (or DVD) of your chosen distro and go ahead with the installation. You'll have the option to repartition your hard drive and so you'll be able to delete your Windows partition(s).

I think that's the most vague post I've ever seen.

It's not really a problem, as Nylex said, boot from the cd, and repartition your hd.

Remember to backup ALL of your important data before you do this though.

If you've never used Linux before, remeber that Linux is not windows. There is a learning curve.

If it were me, I'd go buy another hard-disk drive for my laptop. Take the existing one out, put it in a safe place.

While you're at it, buy a USB 2.0 enclosure into which you can put that "old" disk-drive. Now, you have a blank, pristine new drive upon which to install Linux, and the contents of the "old" drive are not far away. Who knows, you might change your mind, or simply need to grab something. For a couple hundred bucks you can do that.

Ain't no sense throwin' out the baby with the bathwater!
