I want my icons not to wrap their titles

Is there any way to make icons not wrap their titles? I would prefer that they didn't, so I could see the full title without moving the mouse.

Back when I used desktop icons, I used to want the same thing. The best I figured out was to adjust the icon font and, if the GUI allowed, change the icon title to something that would fit the display space (or at least put the relevant stuff where it appeared in the first line).

It might help if you posted which DE/window manager you are using.

Right...I'm using KDE Trinity. I've played with the icon fonts, but I find that that doesn't prevent wrapping.

Drat. Since I don't use icons, I'm out of ideas.
