I think i made a big mistake, help

RH8, Kde, Opera7
home system, only me on it, one user.
I deleted a user called nobody under the add users/groups
and ever since then i cannot login as root through Kde, it just hangs forever, I can access root through my user account but i dont know what to do to fix this, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
