I like to no how to install tars like the netscape 6.0
I have tryd and can't get it to install I have red hat 7.0
and why i'm at it can you tell me how to get red hat to email me back about my registration my pass word will not work thank you
you might try "tar -xvzf [filename]"
then move into the created directory
then read the read me or the install for the exact method for the tar ball. usually "./configure" then "make" and as root or su if needed the "make install"
this worked on the netscape 6 that i installed.
Which password? Your password for your linux?
If so then I can tell you that the password entries are encrypted so you will have to just change your password with 'psswd'.
