I have a question.

i have mid terms and I have about maybe five or six question I will ask following this one. I have answered most but a few have me stumped. I'm new to Linux but I know DOS so I do understand some of it. Below is my question and the answers I think are correct, I'm not sure?
Sarah

List at least three commands you could use to find out information about the contents of a file without listing the whole file or using an editor. (That means you can't use "cat" or "vi", for instance.)

Answer:
grep
diff
uniq

Well Kudos for being honest. I dont like people who try to lie about research when its for school etc but as you've been honest I'll try and help.

One command you might like is `file`. It'll simply tell you about the type of file.

I can't think of any others off the top of my head to be quite honest with you, but googling should help I'd think!
