I can't start my X-Window now. Help please!

Last night I use up2date to update the component, I use RedHat 9.

This morning, when I use command: startx, I can't start my x-window, when the system boot, it says:

/lib/i686/libpthread.so.0: symbol_h_errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.s0.6 with link time reference.

And when I use startx, same error message.
when I reboot, use "shutdown -r now", same error message:
shutting down kernel loger: sleep relocation error: /lib/i686/libpthread.so.0: symbol_h_errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.s0.6 with link time reference.

Anyone can help ??? Thanks so much.

I'm a newb, so don't take too much from what i say, but it looks like when you updated, it changed enough files and config files enough to make your system not realize that glib is installed, perhaps a reinstallation of glib and some other libraries would remedy this problem. I dunno... I'm a newb myself, and I wouldn't want to be where you're at right now. Good luck.
