I can't run newer programs on my Linux PC.

Just thought I'd point out the charm of Mandrake Linux... But getting to my problem, I need a newer glibc to run new programs! I downloaded the newest glibc file and it said like 500 files had to removed in order to install it. Im not going to download 500 files by myself, thank you! I can't upgrade my distribution, Im stuck with Mandrake 9.0. Because I have a pentium 200 with 64 megs of RAM. |
IIRC, you can install packages via rpm on mandrake. If so all you would need is the rpm package for the glib version you need.

When I install RPMs in says I need glibc2.3. I can't get it. Unless IIRC is a program I am not aware of?
