I can't run newer programs on my Linux PC.

Just thought I'd point out the charm of Mandrake Linux...

But getting to my problem, I need a newer glibc to run new programs! I downloaded the newest glibc file and it said like 500 files had to removed in order to install it. Im not going to download 500 files by myself, thank you!

I can't upgrade my distribution, Im stuck with Mandrake 9.0. Because I have a pentium 200 with 64 megs of RAM.

IIRC, you can install packages via rpm on mandrake. If so all you would need is the rpm package for the glib version you need.

When I install RPMs in says I need glibc2.3. I can't get it. Unless IIRC is a program I am not aware of?
