I can't go into any OS!

Hi
I was trying to install Debian 3.1 (sarge) on my WinXP/Suse dual boot
In windows, i deleted the suse partitions
This is what i did to uninstall solaris a few months ago
Anyways, I ran into problems in debian installation, so i aborted, without writing anythind to the hard drive (which it didnt even see in the first place!!!)

So, now, the Grub which was left over from Suse, just gives an error. Windows is there, but inaccessible. Right now, i am using Knoppix.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET BACK INTO WINDOWS XP???

thanks in advance for any help

Basically you need to remove grub, this can be done one of two ways.

1) Use a DOS bootup disk (or win98 startup cd/disk) when you get to the A:\ prompt type "fdisk /mbr" w/o the quotes.

2) Use a winxp cd to bring up the repair console and type "fdisk /mbr"

I'm sure some other suggestions will come along.

This is a very simple task...
1) Bootup your pc from the Windows XP Cdrom
2) Choose Recovery console from the list (press R)
3) You'll find a DOS prompt
4) Type the following:

fdisk /mbr

5) If the above method didn work, type in the DOS prompt

fixmbr

6) Restart your machine and your XP is back
