Gueez who would install Linux on a NTFS Partition ?

Linux cannot actually install on an NTFS partition unless you are using a special program which creates a folder on your current drive that holds Linux in a way similar to a virtual machine.

If you installed Linux onto a partition, Win2K and XP will see that partition, but it will not see it as a unusable file system. However, Windows is fully capable of deleting or formatting that partition if someone got Admin rights on Windows. Be careful about that.
