Personally, when I feel I have to be that condescending, I put down the keyboard and find something else to do. Technically, a nice answer. WAY too much attitude though.

While you were right, your attitude in making
this post really puts you right at the top of the
Top 10 Jerk List.

Still, you're right in that most people had rather
come here and break the rules, not doing any
homework, and expecting that you owe them
an answer.

You can credit that demoniac Bill Gates and his
piece of junk operating systems (take your pick)
for having effectively induced the general comp
using public to thinking with their index finger,
rather than their God-given brain. This was, as
if you didn't already know, part of his grand
scheme to become the richest man in the world.
For someone to be stupid enough to actually
purchase a piece of trash like Windoze XP,
you have to first anesthetize their brain, which
was effectually accomplished by Windoze 3.1,
and Win98 (SE) (ME). Windoze 2000 was actually
a step in the right direction, especially security
wise, but this stupid generation of Americans who
are entertained by "computer games" didn't buy
enough of it to further Billy's goal of world domination,
hence, it was abandoned.

These facts are brought to you as a slap in the face
of everyone who thinks there is any intrinsic good
in Mirco$loth.

I can tell you that i'm not proud of you. While technically correct, that is a pretty insulting and rude reply. LQ.org prides itself on being strictly non-RTFM and to welcoming newbies.
please do not phrase your responses in such a lengthy insulting manner again.

2 things:
This is not a Linux-Technical question and so should have gone into General.
This is a thread about a thread - we tend to discourage that sort of thing - especially as you have opened yourself up to the sort of criticism above.

So this thread is closed.
