I'm Running Linux (SuSE 9.1), which Opera file do I download?
As I've said, I'm running Linux (SuSE 9.1), which file do I download at the following opera download page: http://www.opera.com/download/?lng=en&ver=7.54
Which section, deb; rpm; or tar.gz? and on top of that, which QT file?
Your help is deeply appreciated, thanks!

try this link
http://www.opera.com/download/index.dml?platform=linux
you'll probably want to choose the "QT Shared SuSE/Debian/Others" rpm as suse uses rpms. hope that helps.
good luck.

I believe Opera comes with SuSE. If not, the SuSE rpm is here.

Always use a SuSE rpm if possible. SuSE's directory structure is a bit different that other rpm distros.

Thank you!
I downloaded the "shared" version of an .rpm file and attempted to install it via YAST, and YAST told me that I was missing a dependant file called, Libqt.so.3
Do I need this? Will the file you provided the link to need this libqt.so.3 file?

Possibly, the rpm may have been built with different libraries - the only way is to try. Have you used the search option in YaST to locate the Opera rpm from your disks? Yast will automatically add any dependencies from the CD's/DVD's and you should be good to go. I only use 8.2 as a server, but it sure looks like opera is included with the 9.1 disks. If you did a FTP install, then download the RPM from the link I gave you and do a google searrch to ID the package that contains the missing library if you find you still need it.

Well, I did take the advice from FRANKLIN, and downloaded the Opera file from SuSE's site and attempted to install it through YAST, however, it says that it needs the file "libXu.so.2" in order to install, (it says that their is a conflict and that it needs that file to install). I saved the detailed screen message to a file and then copied and pasted that below for your review. So, here's my question. How do I get the libXu.so.2 file and how do I install THAT so that I can then get Opera to install?
#### YaST2 conflicts list - generated 2004-08-25 10:49:35 ####
libXm.so.2 not available
Required by:
opera requires libXm.so.2
Conflict Resolution:
( ) Remove the Referring Package
Do Not Install opera
( ) Ignore Conflict and Risk System Inconsistencies
opera 7.51-1.1 conflict
Unresolved Requirements:
opera requires libXm.so.2
Conflict Resolution:
( ) Do Not Install opera
( ) Ignore Conflict and Risk System Inconsistencies
#### YaST2 conflicts list END ###

openmotif 2.1 or lesstiff has this library I believe.
Did you check your cd's for Opera first? Suse may have openmotif on one of the cds as well.
A google search would have provided you with these answers. Many have had this issue it seems.

My sincere apologies
Thank you, again, Franklin. My apologies. I did not realize know what to look for, or what to do with it if I found it.
