I'm looking for a gnome desktop distro that contains a dial-up connection!
I have a box full of distros that look great; but they do not provide a dial-up connection to connect to the internet. Does anyone have any suggestions for this problem? Thanks!!
You should be able to configure dialup with any Linux distro and there is a wide variety of tools for doing so. A web search for "dial-up Linux" or "dial-up [distro]" will reveal a wealth of resources.
Not much is being done with dialup development these days, but the old tools will still work. No computer I've purchased in the last five or six years has even come with a dial-up modem.
I use an external serial modem that I had to get to use my first linux distro, suse. Time Warner cable and Verizon cost way to much here in New York City to I have to stay with dial-up!!
Thanks for those links!
The last time I looked, Arios came with dial-up support. That's a "cleaned-up" Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop. With Xfce, there's Black Lab and Antix MX.
