Question Hp pavillion dv2745e won't connect wirelessly.

I have tried to connect my HP pavilion dv2745e wireless. Auto eth0 connects fine every time I log into Ubuntu 9.04. The wireless connection on my laptop light is blue. I have a sparco sp-mimo 802.11n ceiling mount antenna leads 2.4/5ghz. My HP is dual-boot Jaunty\windows-vista.

What happens? Did you try disconnecting the wired connection to avoid multiple paths to the server?

If the local access point is 802.11n, and if it is set to an exclusive 802.11n mode, and if your laptop doesn't have an 802.11n capability, that would be the problem.

That means it's powered, that's good, but it doesn't tell you anything about connection status.

How do you know the wireless connection isn't working?
