Has anybody gotten the 3820 to work on linux. I've studied and studied the pages at www.linuxprinting.org and I can't figure out how to get my printer working. I can't find a straight forward tutorial that explains what I need and how to install it. Please point me in a direction.
Remove any old printer stuff, install CUPS, install hpijs and point your browser at http://localhost:631/ and add that particular printer. Select one of the hpijs printing mechanisms.
Okay port 631 is open but when I go to http://localhost:631 I get a forbidden error. It says I do not have permission to access the resource on this server.
DUDE how did u get into localhost:631 in the browser?
i am getting the same erros u said you got but then you said you got in but did not tell how you did get in!!!! help.
