Howto: Diskless client Linux-machine with extra old AMD <300Mhz, without PXE&USB boot

Hello, I got some pretty old pc's. The pc are old enough to be with Linux distro and new enough to do something with it, for just few persons.

So they have :
- cdrom x 1 (that can boot)
- 1 x USB (no bios boot)
- and no harddrive
- 1 x cable eth0 ethernet pci card (we've got some luck!)

Is there any hope that a cdrom or usb pendrive, launch a PXE so that I can have a normal PC with a harddrive distant on a "server" machine, that can be further installed (not a knoppix fixe image).

Thanks for the info.
Seems impossible, ... impossible is not Linux

You might want to check the Ubuntu wiki option at the link below it has instructions there on booting from cdrom/floppy using the Linux Terminal Server Project which is pretty much what you want for your situation.
